• Provided guidance and support to incoming freshmen, addressing their personal, academic, and extracurricular concerns on a daily basis. Maintained regular communication through texting or in person meet ups, ensuring that they felt comfortable reaching out for advice whenever needed. Implemented effective communication techniques and assisted the mentees in navigating through diverse situations and challenges. Required and received a mentor certification through a specialized training course that taught various communication and social skills.

I had the privilege of coaching a group of enthusiastic young soccer players, guiding them towards excellence. In our training sessions, I fostered a positive environment where they were encouraged to challenge themselves. I tailored the sessions with a mix of exercises, drills, and competitions, aiming to build a solid soccer foundation. I emphasized values like teamwork, sportsmanship, and discipline, promoting collaboration and effective communication. Through personalized feedback and guidance, I supported their growth and helped them set goals. Witnessing their remarkable progress brought immense fulfillment and fueled my passion. This experience sharpened my leadership skills and reinforced my belief in the transformative power of sports.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered to support the Tibetan Refuge community by providing oral translations and transcriptions. As an oral translator, I facilitated effective communication between community members and organizations, ensuring their voices were heard and understood. I also transcribed interviews and discussions to preserve important information and enhance accessibility. Through this experience, I developed strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to inclusivity. It deepened my understanding of the challenges faced by marginalized communities and strengthened my ability to contribute meaningfully in difficult circumstances.
