• Troubleshoot and fix issues that may occur.
• Preventative Maintenance Technician job was created so didn't have to do PM's anymore but as lead, helped technicians in any job that they didn't understand or needed an extra set of hands.
• As weekend shift, less production was ran so we had bigger projects that could not be done during the week.
• Weekly weekend shift tasks consisting of removing line conveyor belts and bearings for weekly cleaning.
• Reinstalling conveyor belts and bearings after cleaning.

• Maintained base appearance by cleaning up any overgrown brush.

• Tasked with leading team set up Holiday decorations at base square and remove after holidays.

06/2010 to 03/2012

• Station aboard USS Ponce home base Norfolk, VA
• Worked in Main Propulsion Engine 2.
• Main Engine Lube Oil Bay Technician.
• Shifted main engine strainers daily and cleaned reserve strainer as needed.
• Continuously monitor multiple temperature and pressure gages in watch station.
• Draw water from reserve tanks and lube oil from various points on main engine for testing daily.
• Performed planned preventative maintenance on various machinery in engine room, i.e. pumps, valves, etc.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues on machinery when issue arises.
• Extra duties as designated Damage Control Petty Officer in division. Daily checks on damage control items in various work spaces.

• Maintained law and order aboard ship when at sea.
• Assist in deterring potential outside threats when at sea.
• Chief of the Pier when ship docked to various ports including homeport. Duties include being in charge of all security personnel currently attached to the pier. Checking for proper identification before personnel come into the pier. Providing security for personnel and ships attached to the pier.
• Patrol Supervisor while at sea. In charge of watch crew.
• Dispatch, take calls and dispatch patrols to areas as need. Record anything reported by patrols.
• Security customer service desk. Take work orders from personnel aboard ship.
• Bailiff duty for multiple disciplinary boards and non judicial punishment boards as well as 1 court marshal.
