Spring 2026 (in progress)

• Perform weekly laboratory experiments involving solution preparation, mixing chemicals, and chemical analysis
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data
• Communicating with laboratory partner to conduct experiments
• Writing and keeping detailed laboratory reports

First-Year Engineering Conference (FYEC):

• Conducting research on how the development of pesticides and gene editing in crops affects human health
• Reveiwing and breaking down scientific papers to synthesize findings into a academic paper.
• Preparing for presentation during the First-Year Engineering Conference

First-Year Engineering Design project (Water Sustainability):

• Conducted group research on ways to harvest rainwater and use it sustainably
• Collaborated with team members to come up with solutions that can be applied to the University of Pittsburgh campus
• Proposed a self-sustaining, gravity-based decorative water fountain that can be placed on various different locations on campus to spread and promote awareness of water sustainability
• Communicated our findings and solutions through a group presentation
