Summary

Throughout my experience in healthcare I have found that taking the time to educate your patients is an essential part of building trust and allowing for optimal patient recovery. Often in clinic, I experience patients who are confused, scared, and unknowing of their diagnoses, functional deficits, or prognosis. My mission is to always put patient care first, and I believe wholeheartedly, that starts in the classroom. I want to provide people with the education to advocate for themselves and navigate the complex medical system. I am committed to provide our future health care professionals with the deep understanding of biology to allow for optimal patient care and the empathy needed to fix a leaky healthcare system from within.
