안녕하십니까. 저는 사실상 경력 단절이 8년 이상 된 아이 둘의 엄마입니다. 이력서를 다시 쓰는 것 조차 어색할 정도로 오랜 세월이 지났지만 큰 용기를 가지고 다시 도전해보고자 합니다. 저는 대학교를 입학 하자마자 여름 방학 때, 그 당시 최초의 인터넷 컨텐츠 서비스 제공 업체였던 회사에 입사해서 그래픽 디자이너로서의 일을 처음 시작했습니다. 저는 디자인에 대한 열망이 정말 컸기에 대학교를 다니면서 끊임없이 회사를 다녔습니다. 회사에서도 저의 가능성과 실력을 인정해줬기 때문에 학생 신분인 제가 방학 때만이라도 일하기를 바랐습니다. 그렇게 공부도 하고 일도 하다가 학교보다 회사에서 배울 것이 더 많다고 생각하여 대학교 2학년 때 학교를 휴학하고 약 1년간 일에 집중을 했습니다. 당시에 대한민국 방송 3사 예능 프로그램의 타이틀을 외주로 작업하던 회사에 들어가 많은 경험을 쌓을 수 있었습니다. 그 동안의 경력 덕분에 저는 대학교를 졸업하자마자 새로운 회사에 경력직으로 취직할 수 있었습니다. 저의 꿈은 헐리웃에서 영화 타이틀을 만드는 것이었습니다. 그래서 한국에서 가장 큰 VFX 회사에 이력서를 냈고 마침내 그 곳에 경력직 모션그래픽 시니어 디자이너로 입사를 하게 되었습니다. 그 곳에서 저는 큰 꿈을 가지고 정말 열심히 일을 했습니다. 능력을 인정 받았기에 회사의 얼굴을 대표하는 타이틀을 개인적으로 작업하기도 했습니다. 하지만 개인적인 사정과 상황으로 많은 상황이 바뀌게 되었고 일을 그만 둘 수 밖에 없는 상황이 되었습니다. 그러다 결혼을 해서 미국에 왔고 아이 둘을 낳고 살며 어느덧 저의 꿈과는 많이 멀어진 삶을 살고 있다는 사실을 깨달았습니다. 하지만 이젠 다시 도전하고 싶습니다. 누구보다 열정적이고 능력이 있었던 그 시절의 저를 되찾고 싶습니다. 다소 뒤쳐져 있을 지금의 능력은 아직 그 때 그대로인 저의 열정으로 끌어올릴 수 있습니다.

I am a mother of two with over eight years of career break. It's been so long that even writing a resume feels unfamiliar, but I'm taking a bold step to re-enter the workforce. My journey in graphic design began right after entering university. During the summer break, I started working at one of the first internet content service providers, driven by my passion for design. Despite being a student, I continuously worked at the company, where my potential and skills were recognized. They encouraged me to work at least during the breaks. In my second year, believing that I had more to learn at work than in school, I took a leave of absence and gained approximately one year of experience at a company that created title sequences for major Korean broadcasting networks' entertainment programs.

Thanks to this experience, I was able to secure a full-time position as a career employee immediately after graduating. My dream was to create movie titles in Hollywood. With this goal in mind, I applied to the largest VFX company in Korea and was hired as a Senior Motion Graphics Designer. I worked diligently, fueled by big dreams. However, due to personal circumstances, I had to leave the industry. I got married, moved to the United States, and became a mother of two, gradually drifting away from my dreams. But now, I am ready to challenge myself again. I want to rediscover the passionate and capable version of myself that I once was.
