• Learn about the different types of IV tubing, how to set an IV pump, and explained how to calculate IV drip.
• Learned how to flush an IV line and explained the steps needed to be done for a blood transfusion.

• Rotated through the Telemetry Unit by helping with EKGs placed cardiac monitor, helped administered medications, set IV fluids, assisted clients to ambulate to use bathroom, helped with wound cares.
• Broward Health Medical Center Ft. Lauderdale, FL: Mental Health Rotation (45 hours) Summer 2020
• Assisted in maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and patients. Cared for adults with different mental disorders such as bipolar, schizophrenia, anxiety, depression and promoted therapeutic communication during interaction.

• Rotated through the Trauma Unit, helped providing special care for patients with paralysis, burns and assisted with administering medications and providing help during physical therapy session.
