Accomplishments

Siemens RuggedCom Communication Accessory

Designed an accessory for the RX1400 RuggedCom Cellular Router as part of a team of three. The Dongle accessory was to be used to provide a customizable way to monitor cabinets in remote locations by interfacing the digital input with the internal communication option in the Router. Once a cabinet was damaged in a remote area a phone notification would reach service technicians in order to fix it. Experienced the full design process starting from conception, and design all the way through to prototyping and execution.

Heart Attack Detecting T-shirt

Designed a piece of wearable technology (T-shirt) that can detect heart-attacks. The device has the capability of contacting emergency services when a heart attack occurs through a cell phone app. The T-shirt monitors inputs from its sensors (ECGs) and then determines if an emergency is occurring. I was responsible for the implementation of the hardware design, and developed the android app with a fellow group member. This device was part of my final year capstone project.
