Hello, my name is Laney. I was born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. I have an optimistic, outgoing, friendly, and responsible personality. I graduated from university with a degree in International Business Management, and I decided to explore my vision of management skills in different countries.
I spent four years working at Eslite Corporation, a conventional department store established in 1989. It started as a 24-hour bookstore and later expanded to offer more services, including retail shopping, restaurants, and hotels. I initially joined Eslite Corporation as a part-time employee during college and was later promoted to a full-time associate after graduation. In the customer service role, I assisted customers and supported the sales team. Later, I was promoted to operational manager, where I searched for new vendors, negotiated contracts, and created more business opportunities for our department.
During my time at Eslite, I acquired various skills, such as brand designing, generating daily financial reports, and handling advertisements. Additionally, my communication, time-management, and coordination skills greatly improved.
Although Taiwan is a convenient country, life there is fast-paced. After leaving Taiwan, I lived in Australia for three years, enjoying its sunny beaches. I also developed a passion for freediving and camping. Afterward, I spent nearly a year in New Zealand. Now, I have been living in the San Francisco Bay Area for two years, and my family and I really love it here.
Overall, I consider myself a self-starter, a good team player, and I work well under pressure by myself. I like to take on new challenges, and I am always excited to explore in different fields.
