I am a person who loves children very much. I am patient, helpful, optimistic, and always smile at those around me. I want to become an registered behavior technician. I really enjoy the field of special education, especially since I have many volunteer and internship experiences targeting different groups of children.
Music Therapy Volunteer at Ryan House
Ryan house, which is a organization under the Hospice of Valley and it providing the end-of-life journeys service and navigating life-limiting. This organization is separating into two age population clients, elder people and children.
I were doing volunteer with the group of children who have life-limiting conditions.
My duty is to let those children are able to live their lives to the fullest, develop friendships, and create memories at Ryan House.
PSY 344: Directed Child Study
This is a internship course for my Psychology major. This course is one of the child lab internship course for Psychology major at Arizona State University. This course aim to focused on the study of child development. The goal is to let children actively engage in some hand-on experience under the teacher assistant supervision. It's also promote children's independent, decrease the dependent, and increase problem solving skills.
I was doing this internship course at a small kindergarten at Arizona State University, which is a child study lab with group of children age between three to five.
Music Therapy Volunteer at Aegis Hospice Care
-Provided emotional support to patients adjusting to new cognitive and physical limitations.
-Communicated with clients to build rapport, acknowledge progress and reflect upon reactions to musical experiences.
Facilitated and optimized programs by writing treatment plans, case summaries, progress notes and other reports for individuals and client groups.
Leveraged musical talents and training in therapy sessions by playing musical instruments, including piano and guitar instruments.
-I volunteered for a hearing impairment children's concert, the first to hold an essential national show.
-Collaborated with producers and performers to determine and achieve desired sound for productions and provided audio system oversight for live shows.
-Operated control consoles to regulate volume levels and sound quality.
USL 216 Service Learning: For Educators
This is a internship course that I enrolled for my sophomore year of my college at Arizona State University. This course is one of the fundermational course for Early Childhood and Special Education major. This course aim to let student learned how to integrate "service learning" into their curriculum. The goal is to bridge a meaningful connection between classroom concepts to real-world community issues and the hand on teaching strategies for those children.

Volunteer Hearing Impairment Organization Assistant
-A mentor or teaching aid for children with hearing impairment.
-Designing classes especially music classes for those children
-Volunteer Experience related to Music Therapy Chinese Deaf Children Rehabilitation Center(Beijing)
1. Set up a piano & singing class with those children with hearing impairment.
2. Reading books with those children with hearing impairment
3. Listening to a music lesson from another teacher.
4. Guiding a music learning course with hearing impairment children.

-I went to the First Place Center to volunteer with people with disabilities including children with autism once a month.
-People were gathering together to employ musical instruments to cure their mental health. Especially I also used the group therapy with client gathering in the drum circle.

I were doing the internship for one month at the Star Hope Autism Rehabilitation Center.
I once interned in the music intervention department. I have established some music interactive classes, such as teaching children with autism to sing nursery rhymes.
And during my internship at this institution, I learned about the director's original MUST autism comprehensive therapy. It's similar to the ABC (Antecedent-Behavior-Consequence) Model in ABA therapy.
The Western North Carolina Down Syndrome Alliance (WNC DSA) hosted the 2016 Buddy Walk in Asheville, a nationwide initiative to raise awareness and advocate for the inclusion of people with Down syndrome.
I were setting up the event, registering participants, and cheering them on during the walk, which took place at Fletcher Park. It was a recurring location for this annual gathering.
