  • Follows SOP's to assure top quality and consistency when working on a project.
  • Gathered metrology Data on VTI, VRx, VCB, VHX imaging software/systems.
  • Completes experiments for engineers with instructions posted on daily planner.
  • Keeps solid communication with process engineers to inform or update on current experiments or new processes in a timely manner.
  • Constantly worked with very Fragile material which is also considered raw material.
  • Focused on detail to particles that might be in the dry room/clean room these particles affected our works first past yield.
  • Attends weekly meetings with other departments to see how our company is doing as a whole.
  • Clean room/Dry room experience.
  • Conducted experiments to develop and optimize lithium-metal battery technology.
  • Collaborated with cross-functional teams to streamline research processes and enhance product performance.

Quality Technician in Cell Formation

Tesla
04.2020 - 01.2021
  • Working in cell manufacturing as a quality tech making sure all products met quality standards.
  • Made sure all associates were following Manufacturing Instructions and safety protocols when working on the production floor.
  • Experience with working with high hazardous material such as Li-ion cells and solid-state and cells various chemicals.
  • Worked in the process called Formation after the cell has been built it is ready to run cycles in the charging towers which analyze the run cycles at the charge and discharge stages of the forming process.
  • When cells were ejected from the towers my job was to analyze the steps in which the cells were kicked out and figure out why the process couldn’t proceed either the cells charge voltage was too high or too low. Or there could possibly be an internal issue will the cell causing these abnormalities in the forming process.
  • Continuously working with process engineers to make sure production manufacturing instructions are up to date, made any changes to them if need be.
  • Perform random quality inspections/audits on cells being shipped out making sure each cell meets the Formation process standards which include OCV/ACIR checks, visual inspection checks, and traceability checks.
  • Work with process engineers/techs to find solution/root causes for quality issues.
  • Keep up to date with First pass yield quotas
  • Help identify root cause analysis to why out cells fail during or after formation process.
  • Perform quality checks on incoming material as well as outgoing.
  • Revise pass/fail CT scans
  • Created Quality Alerts/Jira Tickets continuously respond to these tickets make sure they are closed out by end of shift.
  • Understood the Process/functions of the cells any other functions of production.
  • Made sure all cells are charged and meet the voltage specs before passing to next step. Apply correct recipes if any of these cells need to re-run any of the charging steps.
  • Work with MRB material to determine if material is no longer salvageable.
  • Certified and trained to work with hazardous material such as electrode material and electrolyte.
  • Evaluating processes and equipment to look for continuous improvement opportunities, and suggesting and implementing new ideas that improve quality, safety, cost, or support the production work environment.

Production Lead

Tesla
08.2018 - 04.2020
  • In charge of running the stator line for the large drive unit/small drive unit.
  • Complete production reports to communicate team production level to management.
  • Practiced strong communication skills with upstream and downstream production.
  • Supervise new associates and train employees on the line.
  • Make hot calls on materials needed for the line.
  • Log down equipment on Flux when needed to minimize down time.
  • Oversee employees and their daily roles on the production line assure everyone is being rotated every two hours.
  • Attend Tier meetings for daily First Pass Yield assessments and Daily Pass downs.
  • Work close with maintenance and engineers to improve the process and efficiency on the production line.
  • Constant problem-solving finding solutions to any obstacles met throughout the day.
  • Practiced strong communication skills with upstream and downstream production.
  • Help team understand our daily tasks and goals to ensure we are meeting our daily Quotas and ensuring they understand the importance of the quality of work we are doing on a daily basis.
  • Escalating functional and process failures to the appropriate support groups and leaders.
