Job Duties:

• Working with Developemtn Behavior clinic, providing refills and completion of Prior Authorizations.
• Administering medications or immunizations per protocol.
• Blood draws when ordered by provider.
• Demonstrates ability to observe and record the signs, symptoms, and behaviors including the physiological status of patients, presents proposed revision of interventions, and desired outcomes
• Follows physician's orders in the delivery of nursing care.
• Maintains patient's privacy and confidentiality of information and records at all times.
• Executes written physician's orders for assigned patients.
• Assembles equipment and supplies for various diagnostic or treatment procedures in the specialty service area; performs or assists others with procedures or treatments. I.e. EKG's
• Adheres to internal controls established for department.
• Performs related duties as required.

Job responsabilities in TICU:

Administering complex respiratory care to critically ill infants, children, managing ventilators, providing medications, performing emergency interventions, educating families, and collaborating with the healthcare team in a fast-paced, evidence-based, family-centered environment.

• Providing care to those suffering from acute and chronic respiratory problems: Administration of therapy modalities such as hand held nebulizers, IPV, CPT, Pentamidine therapy.
• Transport of ventilator patients to diagnostic procedures.
• Perform testing such as ABG puncture, bronchoscopy assistance.
• Specialized procedures which include but not limited to CPR, transport, artificial and airway care.
• Performing ventilation therapies, including maintenance and management of life support systems.
• Epic EMR experience, documenting all information pertaining to patients care accurately and completely.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certified.

• Equipment technician: Vent calibration, re-stocking supplies. Shadowing of RT’s during rounds.

• Responsibilities include Escorting patients to room, ranging from new patients, follow-up visits, to those seen as work-in (sick visits) Assessed patients' vitals; temperature, pulse, blood pressure and recorded in electronic medical records, discharging patients, stocking rooms, performing allergy testing.
• Educating patients of allergy test results, ways to reduce exposure to allergens, etc.
• Interaction with different age groups, reordering serum for those on Immunotherapy, administration of breathing treatments per doctor's order, spirometry tests, prior authorization medications including biologics such as Xolair, Fasenra, Nucala.
• Managed to perform various general office duties such as answering telephone lines, administering allergy shots, flu shots, Solu-Medrol injections, administering proper treatment if patient goes into anaphylaxis & checking progress while patient under observation.

• Assisted in Biometric Screening; obtained height/weight, vitals, blood chemistry, cholesterol/glucose levels.
• Also, provided education handouts based on results, customer satisfaction, collection of urine samples.
