I am naturally a nurturer, my daughter was born
deaf, so this put me in a very sensitive place.
When I was hired I attended workshops that
taught me how to read the countenance of the
student.
My duties were to assist the teacher in all
and every way she needed help.
Grading, any clerical duties needed
Transitioning students to all classes
Bathroom breaks, Take to cafeteria for lunch.
Do my best to redirect the student when he/she
were irritated.
Each day was a new adventure, this particular
population had many emotional issues.
But as the years and months went on I enjoyed
encouraging each one that they were able
to rise above their obstacles.
The afterschool programs that I was asked
to be the music director was also a challenge
but I enjoyed it.
I also helped with Regents prep during the
year .
I am looking for a change now, I'm close by
in Rochdale Village.
I know that I will be an asset to the school.
Your nomination will be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
Yvonne Lytle
I was selected with 5 other staff by the principal to erect a school
mural in the school lobby.
We also did other paintings for the unit hallways upstairs
We did a replica of Starry Night on the Upper School wall.
I learned to work peacefully with other staff painting, following
any instructions that were given to me.
It was very rewarding to see each piece after they were done.
My job was to teach each student the lyrics to each number, some
I pulled in to do voice warm ups when I saw that he or she had
individual vocal talent.
These productions were Junior productions especially foundated
for schools. (Scool House Rock Junior, Aladdin Junior, Broadway
Junior). It was challenging because of the behaviors at times
but I worked with them and the music flourished and each
production was beautiful.
My music background helped me build a rapport with the
students as time went on, it was a joy.
The music scores were done by soundtracks that were
provided by each company, they contained song books
production sheets for each Director, we also had t shirts
made for each production.
All of te Directors worked together during rehearsels to be
sure that the production would gel each week.
I have my Level 1-3 Teacher Certificates
I have some College credits, 52 in total.
I have recently released my CD, which
has been a dream of mine.
I have seen music heal and motivate
children over my years as a paraprofessional.
