As a Medical Intern, I had the opportunity to rotate through multiple medical services, including internal Medicine, Surgery, Urology, Gastroenterology, Cardiology, and Rheumatology. During this year-long rotation, I worked as an assistant, actively participating in a wide range of medical procedures and patient care activities.
Key Responsibilities and Achievements:
Internal Medicine:
- Conducted patient interviews and comprehensive physical examinations.
- Assisted in the diagnosis and management of chronic and acute conditions.
- Monitored patient progress and adjusted treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborated with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans.
Surgery:
- Assisted in pre-operative and post-operative care of patients.
- Participated in surgical procedures as a first assistant, providing support to the surgical team.
- Ensured the sterility of the operating environment and the proper functioning of surgical instruments.

Urology:

Gastroenterology:
- Assisted in endoscopic procedures, including colonoscopies and upper GI endoscopies.
- Helped manage patients with gastrointestinal disorders, such as IBS and Crohn's disease.

Cardiology:
- Assisted in diagnostic cardiology procedures, including ECGs and echocardiograms.
