A small business Blu Ray Production company. I have made thousands of Blu Rays for clients using my automated equipment stack. So it is a simple side business I run for myself. I have recently handed off most of the work to my employee so I am now ready to get back into the workforce doing IT.

- Configured a Datadog monitoring solution to replace SolarWinds for thousands of servers implementing with Ansible on CentOS Linux servers.

- Built Custom Dashboards to monitor server health

- Monitored Control M Jobs working with offshore at night.

- Secondary job responsibilities included resetting user passwords and account access for equipment authorization at Epson Warehouses.

It was a very easy job, and I could very well do an SRE role but I enjoy working in a NOC because I am not oncall... However that being said I took overtime whenever someone needed it as I enjoy working.

• I was in the ACE program at CDW learning new skills for a role to be a Consulting SRE, however due to the economy the layoffs hit
• I took this role simply because I was getting paid to earn more skills even though I already have had experience

• Contract work building network and camera systems in the US South
• We were in the process of a major 3 million dollar bid and one of our co-founders had an unfortunate accident in his life and we could not continue without him so we decided we would go back to Engineering

• Performed Python scripting learning a lot of Python
• Linux / Windows - Fixing many issues in CentOS, and Ubuntu most
• Read the book on Site Reliability Engineering by Google, and gave presentations on what I learned
• Worked with tools like DynaTrace, Splunk, Ansible, DNS, and Active Directory
• Break/Fix connection broker clients
• Chef - Automated the configuration management for the entire credit departments 300+ windows/linux servers
• Ansible - Built two Ansible Jump Servers to gather auditing data from our multiple windows/linux servers
• SAS - Built new RHEL SAS Server and Migrated the data from old to new
• Ruby - Wrote ruby code within Chef Cookbooks
• BASH - Created script to automatically repair the RPM database whenever it would fail due to software we were not allowed to get rid of
• GitLab - Developed Chef Cookbooks within GitLab
• Jenkins - Deployed GitLab code in Dev/Test/Prod following CI/CD
• Built Operations Dashboards - ServiceNow Pages - Xymon Alerting Pages - Confluence - Created Team page and Wrote Technical Documentation about Chef/Ansible, and our linux/windows Inventory including firewall diagrams I made

• I really loved this job
• At the end of the day I was always proud that I ended up fixing something for somebody and made someone happy
• This job was fulfilling and Midco is a great company to work for
