- Worked primarily under PHD candidate Ramon Castellanos-Sanchez studying the effects of extracellular vesicle therapies on angiogenesis. Of the many potential therapeutic benefits of angiogenesis, one primary application is to utilize angiogenesis to induce neurogenesis in diabetic patients suffering from peripheral neuropathy.
- I personally ran experiments studying the in-vitro effects of specific extracellular vesicle derived proteins on vascular endothelial cell culture proliferation. Protein examples include: Phospho VEGF, Ve-cad, SRC, CD9, and KLF2. I learned techniques such as western blotting, immunocytochemistry, electrophoresis, and silver staining.

UVA Sports Medicine Volunteer (7/23 - present)
- Gained clinical healthcare experience by assisting UVA athletic trainers in their care for UVA student athletes. Received basic training for use of therapeutic ultrasound, electrical stimulation, Game-ready, Normatec, and more. Also learned the basics of wound care, ankle rehabilitation, cryotherapy, and thermotherapy among other topics. 74 hours of experience so far.
Youth Head Soccer Coach
- Coached a U6 soccer team in the fall of 2022 and a U12 soccer team in the spring of 2022 in conjunction with Madison House UVA and Soccer Organization of Charlottesville.
Special Olympics Coach and Volunteer
- Started an initiative during the Covid-19 pandemic to host and coach virtual basketball practices for all Special Olympics Loudoun County athletes, with 50+ athletes attending weekly. Consistently volunteered with Special Olympics Loudoun County during breaks in the college academic year and throughout high school. Dedicated over 150 hours to Special Olympics volunteering.
