Although I know I am from out of town, here is why I know I would be an amazing addition to the Robert Collins Company. I have followed/been a fan of the Robert Collins Company via Instagram for years. I have always dreamed of living in the Charleston area and pursuing my dreams/goals which include becoming a part of an operating team/family. I can operate a range of heavy equipment on a regular basis with advanced skills. Trained in diverse pieces of equipment and useful attachments to handle team needs. Here's why I know I am a dependable and qualified candidate while explaining where my operating career began. Back in May of 2016 I started out being hired as a heavy equipment operator with ZERO experience for a company named Shear-Wood INC. (bio-mass recycling facility). I was given a chance to prove myself, as I did. I started out operating heavy equipment (excavator/loaders/dozers) where we would take in tree debris and feed the material into either one of our horizontal grinders or whole tree chippers and re-sell it as BIOMASS to local mills or resale mulch/chips. Although I was learning new skills/trades/knowledge/experience every single day, as time went on, I was becoming more and more of a professional/safe/smooth operator. Including being able to perform mechanical and cosmetic repairs that came up as well as perform preventative maintenance on all equipment and machines to prevent any unnecessary/future downtime, extra labor, or extra money spent that could be avoided. Within just a short couple of months, I was advancing to feeding the grinder and chippers as well becoming the dispatch for our roll-off container division. Most professional experience with operating Excavators, Skidders(Logging) and Dozers, Loaders, feeding grinders/chippers. (of course mini-ex's and skid-steers as well). Over time I also took on running the office (pricing material that was coming in through the gate/dealing with customers/and operations management) as well as taking on more responsibilities (accounts payables/receivables/yard & office management). From there about a year later I was moved to the Commercial Construction side of the company. Where I started out as a laborer and worked to becoming a foreman and over-seeing jobs, to still being very hands on when the time was needed and also learning new skills each day, supervised crew members & sub contractors to confirm compliance with set procedures and quality requirements. Monitored crews/subs performance and provided constructive feedback to increase productivity and maintain quality standards. I'm very easy to get a long with and connect with others extremely easy but also know where to stand in order to get each job or task done professionally and in a timely manner, if not faster than expect while keeping safety first always. If I have never done something, it doesn't take me longer to catch onto it and master it. Very easy learner and an extremely hard/dedicated worker/. My main background is Excavating and Feeding a Grinder or in the woods dragging drags out of the woods on a skidder. I would love an opportunity to add value to The Robert Collins Co. team and take the next step into a new Chapter/Career of my life.
