I am a highly motivated individual who wants to make change in the word. With growing up in poverty due to family members addictions, I have a lot of experience with tough situations. With having these experiences I have learned to lead not only myself but others to success (in my career and life) by persevering through difficult situations
At Hesed House I have been responsible for handling tough situations. Most days I preform a mix of maintenance work and handling challenging situations with guests. Each day I must do simple things such as stocking items as well as being able to give some of the most vulnerable people dignity and the chance to hope again. I am able to give people dignity and the chance to hope, by listening, defusing heated situations and providing helping resources. While doing all of this I have effectively maintained positive working relationships with several outside agencies such as the Aurora Police Department, the Aurora Fire Department, Ascension Mercy hospital as well as the volunteers at Hesed House.
Before I began working at Hesed House I was a volunteer for five years. I would come in serval times a month for Hugo Saltijeral, the Associate Director of PADS PM and help in with completing day to day tasks.
With growing up playing baseball I natural grew up volunteered at my local Little League. Here I mainly helped maintained the felids by raking, filling holes in the dirt and drying the dirt on wet day. At the Little League I also would help with fundraising events when they happened. I was also able to help make the 2017 9-10-11 Year old Illinois State championship happen.
I am an avid outdoorsman. When I am not working I am often outside camping, paddling, fishing or hiking. I also like to woodwork as well as work on anything with an engine.
A part of my childhood was growing up playing baseball. I played for various teams for ten years most of those being the team captain, leading my team to several district tile and the Illinois State Tournament.
