Well-organized and resourceful with detail-oriented and conscientious approach.
Worked primarily with truancy cases. I would travel house to house and help children get back into school. I would encourage them by doing activities from the WhyTry Journal, which is a program designed for truancy cases. I also assisted other in the community who suffered from mental illnesses by helping them locate resources, and helped them get back together with their family.
I worked alongside Mental Health Professionals and Behavioral Health Professionals and helped children that are having behavioral problems inside school and outside of school. I sat with the kids in class and gave them redirection when they started acting up in class. I made treatment plans for the students, created goals and objectives for them, and did home visits when needed.
I dealt with money transactions, one-on-one conversations with customers as I take their order in a professional manner. I also assisted with making their beverages and preparing their food. I helped with cleaning the restaurant. I wiped down tables and chairs, clean the windows, mop the floor, and take out the trash. I was employed there for over 8 years; I am one of the few standing employees who have been there the longest over the past 8 years
I assisted the blind and/or visually impaired. I completed initial intake assessments with new clients, and I completed annual reviews with clients that have been with this organization. When clients needed to be taken to their medical appointments, I would pick them up and their house, take them to their appointment, and drop them off safely back at their house.
Took part in treatment planning, helped create goals and objectives for the consumers to work on, discharge the consumers to wherever they were being discharged to, took part in community planning meetings, ran several groups, and worked one-on-one with many patients.
