I started working in the oil fields the week after I graduated high school and have been progressing more as I have been in the field. I am looking to further my career by expanding my knowledge by joining your work force.
I have a basic knowledge of the following equipment as a field operator; Condensate/ Vapor Recovery units, Steam generators, Tank vapor recovery units, Fin Fans, Heater Treaters, Free water knockouts, Mycoms, and header systems. I have only operated rod pump fields but I am open to learning diatomite and any other extraction methods. I have operated both days and nights.
While well testing, my job consisted of using header systems to put wells into test and return them to the group line after the testing is finished. I also would grab a cut form the well head and would either soak it for 2 plus hours or spin the cut to determine how much oil that well is producing.
As a roustabout, I learnt the basics of maintenance of the oil fields. The crew I was on consisted of a welder, a crane operator and myself. We did everything from basic leak repairs on lines to unit alignments, belt replacements, and replacing valves or other parts.
