"Zach McIrvin volunteered to work closely with contract crews in the removal of T-101/V-752 projects. Our guiding principals were always adhered by him and conveyed to the contractors by letting them know that "we do it safely or not at all" and "we always have time to do it right". Zach was able to complete these projects on time and without incident. I am proud to have him on my shift and look forward to the many more contributions he has to offer".

Thank you for your dedication and collaborative effort, you were/are instrumental in working towards a solution".

"Zach & Sven were both asked to support the PRIP regeneration outage. They had never supported this effort before, or functioned in and Ops coordinator role before. They both jumped right in, preparing all the needed documentation in support of the overall planning effort. They both supported the coordinator who was new to the site, going above and beyond to support him, and the overall team. Their due diligence and effort with their focus of safety and quality has helped us to a leak free start up".

Over the course of my career working with Zach, I can say with confidence that the work flow through the turnaround and other projects called for an above average effort by all involved. During the turnaround a portion of our job scope at Tesoro involved coordinating quality control approval of work completed, for this we had Zach McIrvin as our operator. With Zach the pace, communication, common understanding, and intellectual respect offered created a heightened accomplishment level in our activities and in our attitudes. His professionalism toward our needs really set him apart from other operators, and his understanding of the work scope, resources we needed, and scheduling which activities to perform first versus what tasks would only yield inactivity until timed correctly was very impressive. One instance was in the Vac Unit, when Zach knew that our scope of work was already completed by another contractor, so he diverted us from wasting any time and moved us toward scope needing completion. Currently working with Zach, his random field audits are always helpful with positive feedback, and his interaction as the contact between us and the refinery is reliable and thorough. Tesoro’s strength lies in their investment in employees and in their futures, and I see this in Zach, his proud status, safety culture with compliance, and high expectations he has for values and integrity. It holds people to a level of intellect and pride to their work that is definitely required in this field today.
Sincerely,
