Summary

As an Air Traffic controller, I was often used to work busier traffic or more complex situations. Toward the end of my time as an Air Force controller I was asked to work with struggling trainees that were in need of a push or different perspective. As addition duties I taught Self Aid Buddy Care(First Aid), and hazardous material identification and handling, as well as creating briefing guides and briefing other airports and pilots as a pilot-controller-liaison, and ran the squadron fitness program.

In both private sector jobs, I started part-time, and took management/leadership roles and a lead role in standing up and running new units.

In all jobs I have held I have been entrusted with extra responsibilities and have frequently been offered career and educational opportunities. At Menards over the past several years I have acted as General Manager and even took the helm for a half million dollar sales weekend while still running the highest volume sales department in the store.

In most cases I remain with a company as long as I feel that it mutually beneficial for me and the organization. When I feel that is no longer the case I look for new opportunities where I can learn and grow and ultimately feel valued and fulfilled.
