My duties at SMC are very similar to my duties at Ace Manufacturing, in that I was responsible for doing 100% audits on every part that I ran, as well as more extensive audits on every other part. I had to maintain tight tolerances that were set both by the customer and the engineering and quality teams at SMC. I made sure that my work area was always kept clean and the machine was consistently running to minimize downtime. I received training on operating forklifts as well, so I could better support the other shifts to ensure that they were able to run smoothly.

• Assessed equipment after each production run and performed tool changes as needed to keep machines running smoothly.
• Properly loaded and unloaded materials in and out of machines.
• Maintained tight tolerances with design specifications.
• Adhered to high level of safety by following company rules and regulations to prevent injuries.
• Trained new coworkers on proper procedures for loading and unloading parts as well as deburring and inspecting machined parts

• Responsible for preventative maintenance and incidental repairs
• Responsible for training other operators to be proficient in operations of machinery
• Proficient with trouble-shooting measures associated with process
• Monitoring and reporting performance to managers and other operators
• Asking the right questions to accurately analyze situations and make the correct calls as situations demanded
