I started with the City at 18 years old as a Meter Tech. Installing and replacing old meters as well as reading them. I transferred to Waterline Maintenance and worked as a Mechanic/ditch hand getting familiar with fixings leaks and installing new components into our PWS. I then changed positions to Equipment Operator and learned how to operate excavators and backhoes with backhoe controls. I did that off and on for two years and then filled in here and there. Finally, I got promoted to Leadman then Foreman, supervising and helping my team complete daily tasks given by our direct supervisor.
