As a Physician Assistant graduate, I am looking to join a dedicated healthcare team that I can continue to learn from and grow with as an advanced practice provider. 1. Internal Medicine – Hospitalist, Auora Lakeland Medical Center, January 2024, Elkhorn, Wisconsin

Performed comprehensive medical assessments and physical examinations to diagnose and treat acute medical conditions and exacerbations of chronic diseases.

Managed treatment plans including medication therapy, fluid and electrolyte balance, and pain management.

Communicated with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team regarding patient status, treatment plan, discharge planning, and post discharge care instructions.

Collaboration with case managers, social workers, and other support staff during daily meetings to facilitate safe and efficient transitions of care for hospitalized patients.

2. Cardiac Electrophysiology & General Cardiology, Ascension Medical Group, May 2024, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin

Diagnosis and treatment of common cardiac processes including dysrhythmias, heart blocks, cardiomyopathies, and valve disorders in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Management of anticoagulant, rate control, and antiarrhythmic medications as well as temporary and permanent pacemaker's and defibrillators.

Diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, including fractures, dislocations, ligament tears, and joint disorders.

Assisted in surgical procedures, including scrubbing in, providing exposure, suturing incisions, and assisting with intraoperative decision-making.

Collaborated with other healthcare providers, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and primary care physicians, to coordinate comprehensive care for orthopedic patients.

4. Emergency Medicine, Minneapolis VA Medical Center, April 2024, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Diagnosed and treated veterans for acute medical conditions and injuries including cardiac emergencies, respiratory distress, and neurological emergencies utilizing appropriate diagnostic studies when indicated. 

Consulted medical professionals from various specialties to coordinate care and optimize treatment plans.

Interacted with veterans in a respectful, courteous, and dignified manner.

5. International Emergency Medicine (University of Pretoria), Middleburg Hospital, March 2024, Middleburg, South Africa.

Provided acute and emergent medical care in underserved, poorly resourced public hospital in rural South Africa working closely with Medical Officers and Clinical Associates to improve knowledge and treatment medical conditions prevalent to the local population.

Improved focused history taking and clinical exam practices due to lack of diagnostic testing available to the hospital.
