Experienced shipfitter for Puget Sound Naval Shipyard now hoping to utilize my maritime work experience in conjunction with my recent completion of an approved QMED Oiler program for a career change as an Oiler/Wiper for Washington State Ferries. My diverse work history includes shipfitting for Puget Sound Naval shipyard, experience in oil refineries, construction, and fishing vessels. My diverse job history has provided me with much mechanical equipment, systems, and tool experience directly applicable to the WSF Engine Room Department, allowing a seamless transition to my new career. Given the opportunity to be a Engine Room Intern for the Washington State Ferries, I fully intend to complete my QMED required sea time and transition to a On-Call Oiler position when available.

  • Pre-plans layout and mockup jobs by creating detailed sketches and templates for other marine trades
  • Proficient at identifying defective materials/components and facilitate with safe removal and replacement of defective materials.
