• Control's the entire Rolling mill from billet shear to cooling bed and spooler.
• Set up jobs based on production order prioritizing customer needs.
• Monitor all equipment including hydraulics, lube oil, air, water, cut length, spool sizes, and quality while quenching rebar to meet specific yield and tensile specs.
• Coordinate with melt shop, shipping, QA, and maintenance to meet shop needs.
• Adhere to safety procedures and protocols.

• Prepared cartridge/roughing stands for rolling mill based on upcoming production schedule.
• Performed Maintenance on cartridge stands including seals, bearings, air oil lines, greasing
• Set parting according to flow sheets depending on bar size.
• Built entry boxes to go into stands for production.

This was a rotational development program where i was selected to be pulled out of production for a year. This program included the following.

• Two months of technical training at Kiamichi technology center in the form of an entry level industrial maintenance program.
• Two months of shipping and inventory/ QA rotating through each position.
• Two months of melt shop and refractory rotating through each position.
• Two months of rolling mill rotating through each position.
• Leadership training 7 habits, insights, Essentials of Management 1.
• Prepared group presentations on what was learned through each rotation to present to all upper management including some corporate managers.

• Assisted in training new Caster Operators, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance overall team performance.
• Improved production efficiency with consistent attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.
• Reduced material waste by monitoring the casting process and making necessary adjustments.

• Maintained high level of adaptability by adjusting work procedures to meet specific demands of each production run.
• Checked over casting machines prior to start of each shift to identify and resolve any issues.
