Proven leader in retail management with a track record of hitting key sales metrics. Excels in team leadership, hiring, and inventory management. Experienced with enhancing customers' experience and operational efficiency. Exceptional people skills and working with Microsoft Office.
During my time as Retail Experience Manager at Fleet Feet, I led dynamic teams that consistently hit key sales metrics as outlined by the company. I was responsible for hiring, continued education, scheduling, performance reviews, as well as sales floor management. I made sure our customer experience was as consistent as possible for our community by fostering a healthy communication line with staff to correct and direct when necessary. I also worked closely with my management team in order to align our strategic vision for the store, finding new and engaging ways to connect with our community.
As inventory manager, I was responsible for processing all product shipments, by receiving and shipping out product in a timely manner. I also maintained accurate inventory levels by conducting monthly cycle counts, and led a team of 4-6 people for end of year counts. I was also in charge of implementing new strategies in order to make processing transfers, calling holds and placing special orders as smooth as possible.
As an outfitter at Fleet Feet, my main responsibility was to assist customers with their athletic gear needs. This included fitting them with shoes, socks and insoles in order to make their next activity more enjoyable. I also maintained a clean and organized sales floor, making sure the store is merchandised in such a way that is visually appealing and easy to shop. This is also where I mastered cash handling skills I initially picked up working at Subway. Within a few months, I progressed to a floor lead position with a key, and began opening and closing operations such as closing the cash wrap and making nightly cash deposits.
During my time at Target, I was the lead of the frozen foods department; which saw me mentoring new team members on most efficient practices. When needed, I would also help in other departments of grocery, like produce, dairy and meats. There, I would maintain health and safety standards by checking dates of various items, disposing of those gone bad.
During my time at Subway, I took customers orders and maintained a clean storefront in between rushes. I also thoroughly trained new hires on best practices and food safety standards. I quickly progressed to a shift lead, where prepping and delegating became a larger part of my duties. I also was responsible for all opening and closing duties every shift I worked.
