Zada Zamarripa

I am a second-generation college student and Mexican American, pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering. My single mother supports me and my twin sister on a limited income. I have always been dedicated to my studies to help relieve her burden. I was in multiple honor and volunteering societies throughout High School with a 4.1 GPA, currently I have a 3.9 GPA in college. I have achieved the Texas State Distinguished Scholarship, mastered Microsoft Office and have made the Dean's List for my first semester. I am an eager learner and adapt fast to defeat challenges. My experience and devotion to soccer, volunteering, family business, school and honor societies have given me exceptional skills in communication, relationship building, communication, grit, passion, attention to detail , and pride in all that I do.

• Jordan High school Art: Received a 4 (highest score) in VASE (Visual Arts Scholastic Event) in both 2023 and 2024 and a blue ribbon in the Texas Rodeo Art Competition held in the 2021- 2022 School year. In the 2022-2023 school year, I was a Finalist in the Houston Livestock and Rodeo art competition. In the 2023-2024 school year I won my school a silver key in the scholastic art competition.
• As A member of the Jordan High School Girls Soccer team for three years, we won districts, undefeated in the 5A region for two years in a row.
