I worked the bar inside of the winery and described, sold, and poured wine for our guests and made sure they were happy and satisfied. During the weekend I worked well with a team to get through the busy weekend days, however a day or two during the week I would work and manage the winery by myself. Days of the week I was not working behind the bar I was often helping design the wedding hall for the coming wedding and setting it up, making sure it was up to the bride and grooms high standards. Not long after working there I quickly became the wedding's labor force lead, sitting right under the wedding coordinator, and was there right along side them during the wedding day itself, leading the crew and being the first one there and last one out the door.
I was initially hired and trained as a host as a member of the first staff at a brand new location. I worked five to six days a week and filled whatever position was needed, very often picking up shifts that were needed and filling whatever position needed me, even occasionally picking up tables to serve at when severly needed.
The company was initially built up and founded by my mother and I worked there on weekends throughout the majority of my high school years. The buisness was owned by her for more than three years before it was sold to new owners who were also based out of Sacramento. I was the only member of the work force who continued working into the new ownership and became their lead laborer and was a big help on getting both the owners and the new work force onto their feet and learning their way around the company and getting through the tough and stressful weddings for their first year before I moved on.
