ü Krach Leadership Center, a 81,502 square foot satellite student union, dedicated to student organizations, leadership initiatives, support services, and meeting rooms. It houses several office spaces, meeting rooms, cubicles, and the Amazon Campus location.
ü Purdue Food Company (PFC), a retail dining and catering operation, managed by Aramark, is responsible for 12 retail dining concepts within the PMU and 23 campus outlets, in addition to both catering and alcohol services for the greater community. This portfolio includes both local and national chains, sports bar, mini-market concepts, self-checkout kiosks, mobile robot delivery, and food trucks.
Conferences & Event Design(CED), one-stop shop, on campus, for providing support and logistical expertise to various conferences, symposiums, and events both on and off campus. Responsible for over $16,000,000 worth of business, CED is instrumental in providing venues and professional experience in designing and handling various scales of business to ensure groups can bring safe, reliable, and transformative programs to campus for educational enhancement and business development.
ü Parking & Transportation, campus support provider for transportation and parking options targeted at students, staff/faculty, and guests to the university. The operation includes five parking garages, numerous lots, EV charging stations, bus system, and motorized scooters. The responsibility includes enforcement, community relations, special event coordination, and local government coordination.
ü Golf Clubhouse & Steak House, premiere golf course and high-end restaurant for NCAA Division I Athletics and the community. This facility sits upon the world-renowned Kampen-Cosler course, designed by the late Pete Dye. The complex features two 18-hole championship golf courses with a first-class golf training center/simulator, restaurant/bar, market, and other amenities.
ü Campus Lease Partnerships, business opportunity development and facilitation with residential and satellite offices, departmental, programmatic, and service providers across Auxiliary Services. This includes oversight and management of large contractual relationships with senior leadership for UCH (White Lodging) and PFC (Aramark) providers, as well as other lease tenants throughout various facilities, which include team stores (Dyehard), credit union (Purdue Federal Credit Union), distribution center (Amazon), business service center (UPS), eye care store (Evans & Taylor Eye Care), and investment center (Fidelity).
ü Public Private Partnerships (P3), provide maintenance and capital management support for various housing and daycare centers across campus and act as a liaison for campus community resources and future development or growth.
Ø Provides clear strategic direction and managerial oversight of the auxiliary enterprise, which includes selection and oversight of senior administrative personnel across multiple cross-functional departments, budgetary control and revenue forecasting, capital planning and expansion, campus-wide event coordination and hospitality oversight, and academic collaboration.
Ø Establishes and maintains fiscal reserves to meet future needs of facility renovation and equipment replacement objectives. Identifies and models new business and programmatic opportunities and participates in the development of contributed income sources.
Ø Fosters relationships with an expansive array of internal and external partners, visitor bureaus, donors, influential alumni, local committees, boards, and service organizations to advance the PMU and auxiliary enterprises.
Ø Collaborates with Indiana Alcohol and Tobacco Commission (ATC) to advise and enforce campus alcohol policy for the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne, and Northwest campuses. This includes annual renewal of alcohol permits, catering licenses, and carryout licenses.
Ø Facilitated the development of master plan and feasibility study focused on the renovation and expansion of the PMU, Stewart Center, and Armory, an abandoned student military facility. These discussions involved the transformation of numerous programmatic spaces, dining options, retail opportunities, and academic enhancements that will improve campus life and provide for visionary growth at the institution.
Ø Contributed to strategic master plans, which include the Housing & Dining Master Plan, the Outdoor Activation Study, and Protect Purdue, the University’s campus-wide response to COVID-19 during and after the pandemic.
Ø Served on campus-wide and City of Lafayette-West Lafayette committees, which include the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, Recreation & Wellness Advisory Board, Purdue Galleries Advisory Council, Homecoming, Campus eSports, Event Management Software Task Force, and the Greater Lafayette Destination Needs Assessment.
Ø Oversaw the Purdue Student Union Board (PSUB), a student-run programming board providing events that educate, enrich, and entertain the campus community; Student Activities & Organizations (SAO), a department responsible for the student organization registration coordination, program support, and policy enforcement for nearly 1,100 registered groups on campus; and the Roger C. Stewart Leadership & Professional Development Initiative, a department providing transformative on-campus and community-based experiences for students to develop their leadership and civic identities, while enhancing their academic experiences. Additionally, provided guidance and advisement for the Purdue Student Government and their student-fee funding processes, worked on campus-wide frameworks for developing students' leadership and professional development knowledge and skills through CliftonStrengths ®, campus competencies, and Portfolium ®.
