My name is Zaynab Quazi and I am going into my senior year at Dos Pueblos High School. I am in the Engineering Academy and I aspire to major in the STEM field when I graduate. My passion is in computer science and I like to learn about programming during my free time. I love working with other people and socializing. Talking in public is my strong suit and meeting new people is what I do best! I am very organized and I like to keep things neat and tidy.
Outside of the Engineering academy I've taken several courses to gain more knowledge in other fields. I've taken Philosophy 100 at SBCC which opened up a new perspective on existence and ethics for me! To learn more about computer science I took CS - 104 at SBCC which taught me python! I also took AP- Computer Science at Dos Pueblos which taught Java script and introduced Java as well as have us practice writing in HTML and CSS. I went to a week long camp at UCSB called Tech Trek and I studied in the computer science section of that camp. We did lots of activities and programmed many projects. The engineering academy has us programming our projects in C++. The project I am working on currently is the light sculpture and once I am done programing, light rods that I've drilled and cut myself into the base plate and top plate that I've sized and drilled, will light up in the desired color pattern I program it in.
