Overall, I am a hardworking student who is striving to obtain my Early Childhood Education Degree. In high school, I was a student intern. Here are a few of my experiences within the classroom: Teaching Professions Intern, Great Beginnings, Platte City, MO, August 2019 - May 2020 Led circle time; calendar, pledge, and centers. Developed meaningful relationships with students and teachers. Teaching Professions Intern, Compass Elementary, Platte City, MO, January 2019 - May 2020 Practiced behavior management Created lesson plans weekly independently Facilitated whole-group instruction to a class of 20 students. Teaching Professions Intern, Siegrist Elementary, Platte City, MO, September 2018 - December 2018 Encouraged students to work towards their potential in math, developed relationship with one on one students, provided a welcoming environment once I walked in the room. Continuing on, in my second semester at Northwest, I started in classrooms. I have been in four practicum classrooms including: infant/toddler, preschool, transitional kindergarten, and kindergarten. Throughout my time, I have had experience in a Regio Emilia setting as well as regular school setting. After completing practicums, I now also have experience in first grade!
