  • Leadership. Manage team of 100+ and $12M budget at this $50M+ business that educates professionals with 1,000's of reports, charts, forecasts, articles and newsletters every year on digital advertising, marketing, media, retail and ecommerce.
  • Strategy. Developed and implemented strategy eliminating coverage of low-engagement areas and shifting resources to core areas of marketing and ecommerce. Engagement grew 15% YoY, with average pageviews per user increasing every month for past 18 months.
  • Product innovation. Redefined 5 core research products to be visual and concise, introducing new report templates, charts and infographics. Built out data KPIs product with 200+ KPIs to benchmark campaign performance. Launched first-ever advisory product, Analyst Access Program.
  • Organizational structure. Created new team structure after merger of 2 independent businesses. Hired and promoted new leaders while streamlining teams of 15-20 analysts, forecasters and editors.
  • Sales alignment. Worked directly with sales and marketing leaders to determine client needs and tightly align product offering with customer pain points. Trained 75+ sales reps on content use cases and value.
  • International expansion. Drove new global content initiatives, including developing first-ever forecasts and surveys for 40+ markets in Europe, Latin America, APAC and Middle East.
  • Operational efficiency. Saw business through 2 reductions in force, resulting in 30% decrease in both team headcount and budget while maintaining consistent content production and client engagement.
  • Global sourcing. Led transition of 25 roles to Philippines, India and Argentina, working closely with team leads to hire and onboard new hires while also ensuring departing team members were treated fairly and compassionately.
  • Training and mentoring. Developed upskilling programs and established career ladder by outlining roles and responsibilities across functions.

A 10,000-person conference focused on digital innovation in retail

  • Leadership. As part of Shoptalk's management team with CEO and President, helped build Shoptalk from a 4-person startup into the world's fastest-growing retail conference. Combined Shoptalk and Groceryshop business had 2019 revenues of $35.8M and adjusted EBITDA of $12.2M. Revenue CAGR between 2016 (Shoptalk launch) and 2019 was 90%.
  • Agenda development. Identified and recruited 300+ senior retail speakers (including 150+ CEOs) to address new digital technologies and business models in retail.
  • Research content. Launched entirely new area dedicated to developing original research content for Shoptalk.
  • Video content. Launched new video coverage of industry trends. Directed storyboarding, script development, talent recruiting and filming of virtual reality (VR) videos covering robotics technologies, Alibaba's 11.11 event in China and AI startup landscape in Israel.
  • Editorial. Wrote all social media posts, blog posts and press releases. Edited documents including 200-page event guide and marketing materials.

  • Innovation. Launched new practice areas dedicated to 1) digital store and omnichannel technologies that quickly grew into one of biggest revenue generators at Forrester and 2) global ecommerce trends and technologies that expanded Forrester's coverage into new markets like Brazil and China.
