Project

  • ECE 4805-Senior Design Capstone(Fall 2023-Spring 2024)-Beyond the Era of Electrons: Design of a Germanium Laser For Future Quantum Technologies.

Led a team in designing a Ge Quantum well laser, focusing on optimizing its physical parameters for quantum applications.

Conducted temperature-sensitive I-V and C-V assessments on prototype devices.

Designed laser fabrication photolithography masks using CAD.

Acquired hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication within a clean-room environment.

  • ECE 3544 - Design and Synthesis of Synchronous Finite State Machines, A controller is designed and implemented for a vending machine. Vending machines can make changes and sort goods. The results are displayed on the DE1-SoC board. In principle, the system will be centered on multiple interacting synchronous finite state machines. I use a generic synchronous finite-state machine to operate each state of the system. The middle part deals with the calculation of change.
  • ECE 4540 Use cadence CAD was used to build the Symmetric layout of NAND, NOR, and AIO-21, Check the Propagation Delay and noise were studied by the test bench.
  • ECE 3544 - Design of multi-cycle data paths and finite state Machines, A finite state machine is designed and implemented to model the data path of the controller. The controller will implement NAND, NOR, multiplication, etc. Mode of operation. While most instructions can be structured as microoperations, a synchronous finite state machine will consist of a single multi-instruction that will execute multiple cycles of instructions.
  • ECE 2804 - Remote Wireless Sensor Node Project, The remote wireless sensor node includes an Arduino, a DC/DC converter, a 9V battery, a Bluetooth module, and a thermistor. A battery-charging and power-saving. system is implemented to allow the wireless sensor node to work independently when there is no external power source. On the receiving end, a Bluetooth Terminal on the computer is used to display the temperature information. In this project, a 5V power supply is used. The DC/DC converter circuit regulates the output voltage, to power up the Arduino and charge the battery, using a pulse width modulation (PWM) feedback control with a switching frequency of 31 kHz. The Arduino will process the information from the temperature sensor and transmit the data through Bluetooth. When the battery is fully charged, the Arduino will process and send the temperature information every 30 seconds and go to sleep for the rest of the time.
  • ECE 2564 - A game of guessing numbers, Use the MSP-EXP432P401R board developed a two-player game: Player 1 enters a four-digit code (1-0)
for Player 2 to guess. There will be an answer cue and a winner announced.
  • ECE 2564 - single-player game of avoiding, MSP-EXP432P401R board's screen will appear obstacles appear randomly and at obstacles at an accelerated pace, and the player needs to avoid them with the joystick in order to gain points.
  • ECE 2564 - A game to check reaction time, LED random light will be in 3 to 5 seconds. When the LED lights up, the player clicks the button. The screen shows how long it takes the player to react, and the average reaction time is calculated based on the number of tests
