  • I worked under supervision of a lead teacher and assisted them in preparing a classroom for students. I created lesson plans and instructed both small groups and whole classes. As the semester went on, I slowly began to pick up a full K-5 teaching load and worked with students directly in the music classroom. While serving as a student teaching intern, I also helped identify struggling students, assisted with morning duties, and helped coordinate the afterschool drumming and chorus afterschool programs. In addition, I was responsible for the safety, wellbeing, and overall emotional and academic success of students.
