Projects

In 2019, I completed a service project with Richmond Public Library (in Richmond, CA) to create an American Girl Doll lending program. The program benefited underprivileged youth whose families could not afford the dolls, and we were able to gather eight for the library to checkout. All the dolls were donated from the local community, and we utilized advertising and networking to obtain those resources. Along with the dolls, the two other girls with whom I did the project with and I created kits to go with them. The kits included spare changes of clothes and accessories, hand sewn blankets to match their time periods, and notebooks for the children to log their adventures in, to practice reading and writing skills. The program to this day is very successful, and to kick it off, we planned and executed a launch party alongside the library.
