Dedicated SpEd Paraprofessional with a proven track record in fostering social skills development and demonstrating patience and empathy in challenging environments. Excelled in a role at Rutherford County School Dist, significantly enhancing student engagement and progress. Skilled in special education strategies and effective communication, I thrive in dynamic settings, ensuring high-quality support and positive outcomes.
As a paraprofessional in an IPK class, I have a lot of responsibility. I help manage behaviors, while keeping the environment positive. I spend a lot of time with our typical peers, while the head teacher teaches our other students. We are teaching them basic life skills along with curriculum. I do daily diaper changes, run meals, pick-up/dismissal, and teach. I love building relationships with my students and seeing their progress throughout the year.
As a substitute I had many different responsibilities. I've mainly done long-term assignments, which I really enjoyed. When you're a long term sub, you pretty much take on the role as the teacher. Which means you also take on their responsibilities and schedule.
I had to make sure I was following the sub plan, while creating a positive environment for the children.
As a server I demonstrated strong multitasking skills, by managing multiple tables at once, without compromising service quality. Majority of the time I was shift lead, which meant I managed all of the other servers for the day. I was serving my tables while also making sure the others were doing their side duties.
