  • I prepared powerpoint for each lesson and lead her through several sample questions at end of class.
  • Her biology final for sophomore year was top of class as indirect evaluation of my teaching efficiency.

Doing Internship in a Community Hospital

  • I worked under dermatology department, mostly about cosmetic dermatology.
  • I shadowed doctors when they use lasers or other technique to evanish verruca acuminata, moles or other dermatological defects on patients' body.
  • I shadowed several minor surgeries about removing complex nevus.
  • After conducting lasers, patients' face will be hot and needs ice compress. I will find them ice towel and pacify their anxious mood if they are getting too nervous.

Literature Review of CRISPR/Cas9 Technique

  • I read numerous literatures about using CRISPR/Cas 9 technique to treat lung cancer.
  • I summarized these contents and wrote 3700+ literature review including pathology of lung cancer, genes related with lung cancer, why traditional treatment like chemotherapy needs to be improved and how does CRISPR technique works in treating lung cancer.

JHU Summer School About Introduction to Surgery

  • I learned basic OR knowledge like how many doctors at least surgery needs to include and what are their roles. I also learned how to wear surgical gown and sterilized policy in OR.
  • I wrote preoperative and postoperative report for splenectomy.
  • I got to know about basic suture skill and practiced on skin model.
  • I was taught with several body organ systems including immune system, cardiovascular system, urinary system and so on.
