

Experienced with early childhood education, children's social services, and youth-based non-profits. My passion is to ensure a safe and engaging environment for the youth in my community. My interest in the field of law was sparked by the disparities I saw in the way juvenile defenders were treated throughout my work with Anchorage Youth Court.
Spanish Language and Legal Internship, Nations Law Group February 2025 - May 2025
I interned with Nations Law Group as a Spanish-language intern. My responsibilities were to routinely check client's case status, translate legal documents from English to Spanish, communicate with Spanish-speaking clients about needed documents, interpret the meaning of legal documents written in English to Spanish-speaking clients, research current legal immigration issues and topics (in Spanish), document interactions with clients, communicate progress and status with lawyers, and research viable ways of immigration for non-citizens.

I participated in various Model UN conferences across the country by researching global and local issues for my assigned country and debating these issues with peers.
Tom Case Leadership Fellows Academy, University of Alaska Anchorage 2021-2022
I was a member of the Leadership Fellows Academy and through this, I was able to meet local leaders in the community and learn about leadership skills. We work on organizing events, practicing leadership, facilitating discussions, writing business plans, and more.

Student advisory board was my school’s form of student government. To participate in this, I went to the student advisory board meetings, took notes, reported to my advisory, presented votes on issues, drafted solutions for issues, etc.
