Major Crimes/Homicide (Homicide Workgroup): May-Sept. 2017
· Authored search warrants and a wiretap for the three suspects involved in a double robbery/homicide investigation which lead to the arrest of three subjects.
Traffic Unit – Motor Officer: Dec. 2016-April 2019
· Reducing the number of traffic collisions. Educate the public on primary collision factor (PCF) of traffic collisions. On-call for any fatal, serious injury, on-duty police vehicle, hit and run, or vehicular manslaughter traffic collisions. Conducted DUI saturation patrols and checkpoints leading to arrests. Issued citations for various PCF violations to motorists/bicyclists/pedestrians
Detective -Ventura County Combined Agency Team (VCAT): April 2016-Dec. 2016
· Conducted and assisted with major violator investigations for large scale drug trafficking organizations. Investigative targets include manufacturers, transport groups, money laundering, lab operators, and organized crime. Utilized advanced investigation techniques, surveillance, wiretaps, and multi-agency/team collaborations. Investigate any involuntary manslaughter investigations related to heroin overdose deaths in the western portion of Ventura County.
Detective - Narcotics/Vice Unit, West County Street Team: Jan. 2012-April 2016
· Conducted all aspects of narcotics, vice, and human trafficking investigation and enforcement operations. Authored over 200 search warrants, handled dozens of confidential informants, and collaborated with local, state, and federal agencies. Serves as a recognized expert in the field of narcotics sales, prostitution, and Human Trafficking in Ventura County Superior Court. Presented several narcotic training courses to patrol officers, psychologists, medical students, and community members. Provided training and public speaking on the topic of Human Trafficking and has become a county-wide expert.
Central Business District: Jan. 2008-Jan. 2012
· Used community-oriented policing by community interaction and support. Utilized saturation, directed, vehicle, foot, and bicycle patrols along with undercover surveillance techniques. Applied CPTED and SARA philosophies to enhance safety in the downtown area. Developed operational plans for quality-of-life problems such as alcohol, narcotics, and prostitution related crimes resulting in successful prosecutions. Authored search warrants for prostitution and theft related investigations. Partnered with the Ventura County Rescue Mission staff to address quality of life issues.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
· Founding member of the Ventura County Coalition Against Human Trafficking (VCCAHT), Provided Human Trafficking presentations for schools, Soroptimist International, Rotary Club, and other local venues, Provided demonstrations to cadets of the Ventura Military Explorers.
Undercover loss prevention investigations and enforcement. I placed several persons under Citizen's Arrest for Shoplifting/Petty Theft in California.

Patrol of the Amgen Campus (Newbury Park, CA). Enforced rules and policies on campus, traffic control and investigations, responded to Emergency/Fire at various campus buildings. Dispatcher with moderate radio and phone traffic at the switchboard. Became a certified trainer for new-hires. Promoted to a shift supervisor to maintain the shifts personnel and conduct monthly evaluations. Obtained an Advanced Security Officer Certification.
CAPID: 279357: Honor Guard and Color Guard member and we performed at miscellaneous events and in various City Holiday Parades.
I became the Squadron Executive Officer and conducted promotional boards. I was also an Honor Guard instructor, Color Guard instructor and organized special events. Served at the Edwards Air Force Base Air Show (2000).
I also attended California Wing Encampment in 1999 (New/Basic) and in 2000 (NASAR/GSAR/GTM3).
