Eric R. DySart

New York

Summary

I serve as a Senior Specialist with the Department of State-Consular Affairs. I am responsible for collecting & analyzing information to produce & disseminate intelligence assessments regarding potential threats. In March 2025, I completed a tour of duty at L.A. Consular Affairs offices, creating a Bilateral Knowledge Portal and developed a research strategy analyzing and improving agency workflow through a systems theoretical approach. This initiative culminated in a comprehensive training I lead for DOS NY office on understanding complex systems as interconnected I emphasizing the importance of examining relationships between components & their collective impact on the overall system, rather than analyzing individual parts in isolation.

During my tenure with the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in post-conflict Moldova my primary objective was to bolster Moldova's resilience for potential NATO and EU membership while countering pro-Russian influences in Parliament. As part of a team, I analyzed data to improve social cohesion and reconciliation, emphasizing gender equity, civic engagement, and human rights. I contributed to political stabilization, stakeholder/corporate/civic engagement, social impact policy, & reputation development. I cultivated trust-based relationships in a highly matrixed network with the U.S. Embassy, Moldovan Parliament, The Swiss Corporation, The World Bank, ambassadors, and diplomats.

I'm known for my strong analytical, problem-solving, & strategic thinking. I am an effective communicator who engages with stakeholders and builds trust. Colleagues praise my leadership & clarity in conveying complex ideas & my calmness under stress. I excel at establishing & maintaining successful relationships across various groups.
