I enjoy finding ways to reduce errors and potential for fraud by creating processes and procedures that keep things running smoothly. I really enjoy working on projects with my team. Senior Payroll Specialist

  • Point person for both annual external audits and intermittent internal audits. Gathers and organizes documentation for these audits, and works with team to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Highly proficient with Excel and other Microsoft products, as well as other software such as ADP, Symitar, etc.
  • Actively looks for "blind spots" in processes and creates improvements to make our work more accurate and efficient. Does this on an ongoing basis.
  • Experience with seeking legal council and researching Washington State, multi-state, and federal laws to help guide our policies and procedures related to Hybrid Workplace, COVID, Hours and Breaks, Out-of-State Remote Work, and more.
  • Performs regular audits to ensure no fraud is occurring and policies and laws are being followed. Some examples include company timecard audits, corporate vehicle use audits, 5 consecutive day audits, and more.

  • Performed Corporate VISA audits on a monthly basis. Met with Audit and Member Solutions to develop a process for outstanding Corporate VISA accounts.
  • Point person for SAP Concur maintenance, releases, reporting, implementation, and more.
  • Prepared accruals, reconciled GLs, and prepared tax statements independently, accurately and efficiently.
  • Created a Year End tool in Excel that efficiently extracted data from Concur and imported it into a format that was used to write up accruals in Symitar. This helped save leaders across the organization a substantial amount of time and headache during year end.
  • Prepared and submitted weekly and monthly reports to government agencies.
