As an experienced roofer, my time at Siders roofing was spent working hard while also helping to manage the employees with less experience. Teaching others how to roof has increased my own knowledge of the trade, and being left alone as the senior employee on the roof has improved my management and interpesonal skills.

• Assisted with rigging and installation of production equipment, pumps and pipes.
• Connected and disconnected pipes, pumps and other production equipment to support functionality.
• Listened carefully to supervisors to understand directions and then carried out all work responsibilities efficiently.
• Performed diverse manual labor tasks, digging trenches and laying pipes
• Worked 100+ hours a week regularly

• Work as a member of a two man crew installing landscape border materials as well as a myriad of other landscape labor tasks including the use of commercial lawnmowing equipment.

• Operate as the number two man to the owner of the company assisting with tear-off, clean up, and re-roof of customers home, along with training and onboarding various laborers joining with the crew
• As the number two man in the company, my responsibilities included more than the average journeyman residential roofer such as assisting with contract bids and interfacing with customers both prior and after the job was completed
• All shingles were installed by hammer and hand as to provide the best quality possible.

• My three years with Ludwig roofing consisted of being a member of the tear off and re-roof crew and learning the ins and outs of the residential roofing trade
• During my time there I learned how to properly install, by hand nailing, shingles and learning good tradesmanship techniques and how to properly waterproof a customers home
• Ludwig roofing has received various local awards for the work done around the area and has a multi-decade reputation as some of the best hand nailing work around.

• Prepare orders of items commonly procured at a gas station in accordance with the orders submitted by the individual stores
• This involved use of a pallet jack and a wrapping machine
• A certain amount of items were to be picked everyday and I became very efficient at selecting them and stacking them in an efficient manner.

• Building pole barns was an excellent basic introduction to a few different trades
• The construction of a barn consists of carpentry, doors and windows, siding, insulation, as well as metal roofing
• Use of power tools such as drills and saws along with multiple pneumatic tools was also learned
• Use of heavier equipment such as scissor lifts and skid loaders was also taught in the pursuit of taking a bare piece of land and constructing a barn in its place
• Was promoted to head crewmember under the foreman during my time there and taught what I had learned to newer crewmembers.

• Installed new decking and flashing.
• Removed and disposed of old roofing materials.
• Worked with metal, shingle and rubber roofing systems.
• Learned the base skills of hard work and time management as a young man.
