Experienced in mechanical inspections, preventative maintenance, diagnostic testing,.troubleshooting equipment failure, breakdown repair, and replacement and adjustment of mechanical equipment and components with appropriate maintenance records. Confident in operation of load handling equipment to move large components and material. Have performed rigging and signaling associated with such load handling. Reliable and can respond to callouts to diagnose and repair mechanical issues. Skilled at metal fabrication and welding. Hardworking, punctual and with a high intellect for mechanical design and function of equipment and components.
As a job supervisor I ran a 3 man crew for merchandising timber from the woods to the mill I operated heavy machinery such as a John Deere Log Loader with a CSI 264 delimber and a 437E John Deere 748H and 848H skidder. I operated a 2015 and 2021 Peterbilt tractor with a 2018 Viking trailer to transport wood products for various mills. I inspected equipment daily, weekly and monthly for operational use. I done preventative maintenance such as greasing, oil and filter changes and fluid checks. When breakdowns occurred I done diagnostic checks with test lights, OHM meters, code readers and scanners. I used my mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment failure, do breakdown repairs or replacement and adjustment of such parts or components to return to productive work. As job supervisor I had to stay late or work over the weekend to diagnose and repair these mechanical issues. I have a good knowledge of electrical and hydraulic systems whether just visual inspections or schematics. I have done some metal fabrication and welding repairs when needed. As each maintenance issue got completed whether preventative or breakdown I had to keep maintenance records.

As a truck driver for Bennett Bros. I drove a 2000 Freightliner tractor while pulling a 25 ton capacity pintle hitch trailer for transporting machinery and custom stone. I used load handling equipment such as a New Holland and John Deere 329 skidsteer or a New Holland telehandler to move large pallets of cement, rock or boulders around the yard or jobsites. When needed I had to use rigging such as nylon straps or chains depending on application to move or set stone. While doing most load handling around jobsites I had to receive or give hand signals for correct placement of material.
As a truck driver and heavy equipment operator for Bennett Bros Stone I done inspections on the tractor, trailer, skidsteers, telehandlers and any materials used. If a problem presented itself I had to inspect and diagnose the cause, repair or replace as needed to return to correct operations or satisfy customers. While working for Bennetts I done multiple metal fabrications and welding to keep equipment operable or fabricating metal structures for rock slab signs to stand up. Operated range of heavy equipment on regular basis with advanced skill. Moved equipment between job locations using truck and trailer. Loaded and moved materials such as dirt and rocks based on specific job needs.

As a CNC oxyfuel burn table operator I used a program to operate a multiple cutting torch system to utilize space on specific metals. When using a cutting torch I had to adjust oxygen and acetylene in tips to cut material correctly. If a issue occurred whether being with the program or CNC machine I used my knowledge I had gained by using the manual of daily operation of the machine to inspect, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair or replace components, programs or gases whichever was the issue to gain optimal production. Also while working in the cutout/layout division of Timber Automation I used compound miter saws to cut correct degreed angles on steel (such as: flat bar, I-beam, square and rectangular tubing and round stock). I used a drill press, hydraulic hole punch, hydraulic press, hand torches, plasma cutter and MIG welders to produce parts for fabrication. I operated load hauling equipment such as forklifts and overhead cranes to unload, move and load large metal plates, beams and complete components of saw mill equipment to be delivered while in the process of this I performed rigging with nylon straps, chains and plate claps. While moving these large pieces of material or components I used hand and verbal signaling associated with load hauling. At times while doing the preparation for fabrication I had to us blueprints to adjust or redesign parts for correct fitment

As an owner/operator for Journey Transport LLC I operated a 2007 International 9900i tractor while puling a 2000 Reitnouer aluminum flatbed trailer for the purpose of transporting different goods such as pallets, palletized rocks, metal and heavy equipment such as cranes and forklifts across multiple states. Being a owner/operator I had to do inspections, preventative maintenance such as greasing, fluid checks, tires changes, brake repairs and adjustments and oil changes, During part failures I done diagnostic checks, troubleshooting and repair or replace according to the problem.
As an owner/operator at times during loading and unloading I operated load handling equipment such as overhead cranes, forklifts and telehandlers to unload and move large components and materials. During loading and unloading I had to use correct rigging and signaling associated with the process. Being an owner/operator is an on-duty type of business which means if an emergency or equipment failure I would respond to diagnose and repair the mechanical issues. As an owner/operator I kept DOT approved maintenance records.

As a owner/operator for Ouachita Timber Products I drove a 2007 International 9900I and 1987 International 9370 tractors while pulling a 2000 viking plantation log trailer and a shop built folding pole trailer to transport merchandised logs or pulpwood to the appropriate mills. To perform my job I used heavy equipment to load and unload such as log loaders or front end loaders. I had to use log skidders and rigging to pull or push my tractor/trailer in and out of jobsites. I performed my own inspections, preventative maintenance , diagnostic testing, troubleshooting when equipment failures occurred. I performed all breakdown repairs, replacements and adjustments on mechanical components.
