- I started working at Southwire at an entry level Rewinder. The job was very simple I cute reels of wire into small coils and packaged them for retail. After eight months I decided to take on the challenge of learning to run the armoring machines and actually make the wire. I ran five machines simultaneously and checked for quality as they ran and repaired them each time they broke out. If the malfunction was beyond my ability I would contact maintenance or the appropriate department. I became familiar with the computer system Southwire uses to document production and ship out finished materials.

- I made plastic parts for all makes and models of vehicles. I stood on my feet for eight hours while I pulled hot parts out of the machine, inspected, repaired and packaged the finished product. I learned all twelve machines in my time at JAC products and began training the new hires.

- Responsibilities I inspect the final product for defects and repair any defects found. I also train people on the company quality policies and fill orders.
- Accomplishments I have trained nine people to be final inspectors. I have learned to do various positions in the warehouse to make myself more useful to the company. I also have one year of assembly machine operator experience.
- Skills Used I work on the fastest line in the plant. I manage the orders throughout the night and direct people to the proper supplies necessary for each order. It is a team effort so there is a lot of communication with the trainee, maintenance man. forklift driver and supervisor. As a machine operator, I had to feed supplies into the machine and watch the PLC monitors for errors and correct them quickly as they occurred.
