Experiences

TEAMWORK EXPERIENCE

In the summer of 2015, my mission group and I got together to help a church that was facing economic hardship and was lacking help from the community. As a team we devoted one week to planning a community event that would bring in economic resources as well as a larger audience to the place of worship. During that week, we also provided elementary bible studies through a VBS program, we distributed food, and donated free labor to areas that required them.

DIVERSITY EXPERIENCE

I volunteered in a charity Christmas event, in rural Tijuana, Mexico where my missions team and I distributed food and toys to an underprivileged community of adults and children. This experience allowed me to see that a group of people with a positive intent to help a community can make a difference amongst the people. (Dec.2015)

Projects

Career Investigations Project

SBS 300

My career investigations project was a solo project that required a lot of extensive planning and collaboration. The purpose of this project was to report on a career of my interest. After compiling data from my values and interests and after interviewing Amy Koh, the occupational therapist at my workplace, I carefully crafted my Career Investigations Project. This project was a defining moment in my educational career path that required research, oral/written communication, and execution.
