Jacob Ward

I currently work as a student firefighter For the Jacksonville Fire Department. I have completed Fire Academy and Learned Many valuable first responding skills while I have been affiliated with the department. Some of My current responsibilities and skills I have Learned as a firefighter are:

-Traffic control

-performing radio communication at emergency scene

-deploying hose line off engine to structure fire

-Cleaning the station and keeping inventory of equipment

-Maintaining tools and equipment

-Forcible entry into structures or vehicles

-CPR Certified

-Operate emergency scene lighting equipment

-Performing daily rig checks to make sure all equipment is in order and make sure air packs are full before the start of shift

-The ability to adapt and follow orders

During my Time at timber products. My Job Duties were the following:

-Using pressure washer to clean glue machines

-operate forklift to move spreader machine parts

-Sweep pathways of warehouse

-Mix plywood glue

-Perform spreader machine Maintenance.

-Stack ply-wood

-paper tag inventory before sending it through the wood press

Last summer I worked as a wildland firefighter For Pacific Oasis wildland Fire company. My responsibilities were the following:

-Digging fire line

-Oiling and cleaning chainsaws

-Carrying tools

- cleaned and stored hand line tools

-Replaced radio batteries when needed

During My senior year of High school, I worked as a shift leader for Carl's. Jr. During my time there, I worked my way up from A crew member to a Shift Leader. My responsibilities as a shift leader were the following:

-Managing evening shift crew

-Taking inventory of product

-Filling out payroll paperwork

-Placing food product orders

-Resolving conflicts with customers

-Making sure store is clean for next shift

-restocking materials

-responsible for Counting the money after end of shift

-Training new hires

-Answering phone calls
