As members of an A.A.V. crew or unit, A.A.V. Crewmen perform various duties incident to the operation and maintenance of amphibious assault vehicles and the Up-Gunned Weapon Station (UGWS) MK19 40MM/50.CAL M2. A.A.V. Crewmen prepare the vehicles for the tactical employment of troops and equipment during ship to shore movement and subsequent operations ashore.
Interviewing incoming emergency room patients prior to admission to gather demographic, insurance, and emergency information
Ensuring completion of paperwork, sign-in and security procedures
Explaining and enforcing facility policies
Preparing and distributing patient identification bands, and arranging transportation to assigned rooms.
Additional duties may include collecting patient financial liability, answering phones, assisting family members, and conducting research for prior medical records/account folders
