Exercised discretion in granting authorization to enter or exit buildings and conduct security screenings to ensure that no person intending to commit an unlawful activity such as theft, vandalism, robbery or arson is allowed in or out.

Providing First Response - Watchmen are first to respond to incidents and emergencies. Watchman are to report incidents observed that happens on premises, its Watchman's duty to take charge of each situation. If a person is attempting to gain unauthorized entry, watchman are to remove unauthorized from the premises.

Shift Administrative Duties -Watchmen also have administrative tasks such as directing guests and preparing daily logs and monthly reports on status of a property's security. Watchman are often the first person visitors encounter, we must be approachable, knowledgeable and should offer necessary guidance. A watchman also maintains records of all activities observed on the premises to keep the docks apprised of the security and advise on any further measures that should be taken.
