Between the work experiences, life experiences, and educational experiences, there are many acquired skills. Different work experiences have taught the people skills needed for the professional world and how to communicate with those in need of a product or service, efficient communication skills with different people, how to efficiently file paperwork and other documents, how to work and interact with diverse groups of people, and how to provide excellent customer service. Life experiences have taught how to be compassionate, hard working, determined, selfless, and how to be calm in stressful, high-intensity situations. Educational experiences have taught how to be a fast learner, have given skills in using Microsoft platforms, how to properly and efficiently manage time, how to do proper research on many different topics, and how to write papers to best ability. Also, very self-motivated outside sales professional experienced in both technical and non-technical, fast-paced team environments. Relationship building and closing expert.
At Foot Locker, I was continually a top-performing sales person, helped over 30 customers per day, answered over 10 phone calls per day, assisted customers in-store and over the phone, provided excellent customer service, took on many responsibilities on a daily basis, located inventory in-store and at other locations, cleaned the store to keep a good presentation to customers, assisted customers throughout their entire shopping experience, and set-up new displays every few weeks to show off the new products that were in-store.
At Dick's Sporting Goods, I worked at the customer service desk and helped more than 30 customers a day with returns, exchanges, and processing checkouts, answered more than 10 phone calls a day and, if needed, transferred the customer to the appropriate department, directed people to the proper area of the store where the products they needed were, helped clean the store when closing and prepared it for the next day, and assisted in each department when needed.
At The Dance Attic, I worked the front desk when I was not in dance class. Some of the duties include answering the phone and answering questions or taking messages, cleaning the dance studio, getting mail and packages that arrived, managed any filing or paperwork that needed to be done, and assisted those at the studio who needed help. On average, there were more than 50 students and parents in the studio daily so I would also do what I could to keep the environment as calm and positive as possible within the lobby area.
